Hi everybody! I'm so happy you stopped by! My name is Kaydee, I am the founder and owner of The Diaper Bag Center. I wanted to share with you the story of how our business was born.
I guess I'll start from the beginning. My husband and I met in college nearly ten years ago. After a lengthy friendship we fell in love and got married. In the beginning things like baby blankets, diaper bags, and burp rags were far from my mind. Well it didn't take long for that to change. Five and a half years after we were married, our third child was born. Life was (and still is) equal parts crazy, and great!
One glorious day, I was in pursuit of a baby shower gift. After lugging my three kids all over the city, I came home completely exhausted! After some thought, I explained to my husband how great it would be if there was a place online where we could find great coordinating baby gifts, everything we would need in one place without having to leave the house to find it. My little comment sparked some interest in my husband and soon we began discussing the possibility like it was more tangible. Less of a dream, and more of a reality. After doing some research, I could see that there was certainly room for an online shop equipped with everything a woman would need for a baby. Not just diaper bags, not just baby blankets, but everything, all coordinating perfectly to form the cutest baby gift in all the land!
Launey and I eventually decided that this business would be the perfect opportunity to merge his passion with mine. Launey has always loved business, and I, of course, have always loved finding the trendiest and most useful baby gear to take make my life a little easier (and prettier)!
I have been a stay-at-home mom since having our first child. I have loved the opportunity to take care of my children and watch them learn and grow at home, but I yearned for a project of my own. We eventually decided that if I could take on this new business venture and stay home with the kids in the mean time, it would be a great opportunity. So, here we are. Living the dream and loving it! I want all of you to know that being a mom myself, I know first hand the type of style and practicality busy moms look for in their baby gear, and I also know that we don’t have to give up fashion for function.
